ABOUT US

The Flower Hill B.C. was founded by the late Rev. N. Giles in the Agurs subdivision of Shreveport, La. in 1922, Rev. Rhodes served as the Assistant Pastor.  Of the 99 years Flower Hill has been in existence, she has been blessed with several ministers to serve: Rev. E. Love, Rev. W.M. Green, Rev. JT Tolliver, Rev. James Beasley (1963-1977) and, Rev. JL Horton Sr. (1977-2016) and our present Pastor Thomas K. Williams Sr.

Two great losses were suffered in 2016 with the passing Rev. James Beasley and Pastor Horton Sr. During Pastor Hortons 37 years as our Pastor, many souls were saved, many were baptized and many deacons were ordained and appointed.  As his vision grew, our congregation also grew.  We eventually moved to our present location and have continued to grow.  During Pastor Horton’s tenure many faces have crossed the threshold of Flower Hill and many have been called home.

 Our current Pastor, Thomas Williams Sr,. has been with us since 2016 and we are following his leadership into the future for our church.
